Bio:
Growing up in Dadeville, AL, Jerry developed his musical interest listening to
Guns n' Roses, Metallica, and Def Leppard tapes and watching his dad's
band play. Jerry first found interest in the drums when he got his first set at
age 13. However, at age 17, he got his real calling when he received a baby
blue Epiphone Les Paul as a Christmas gift. Jerry began to spend much of
his free time teaching himself how to play. He also began to write some of his
own riffs and lyrics. After only a few months, Jerry started jamming with a few
different friends hoping to find a great sound. In Summer of 2005, Trey
Foshee, an old jamming buddy, called Jerry up to come practice with his new
band Steel Fading. The band consisted of three members at the time: Trey
Foshee, Jordan Davis, and Joe Taunton. After only a couple of practices,
Jerry felt great chemistry and joined the group. Jerry's role as the new
guitarist allowed front man Trey Foshee to focus more on his tantilizing lyrics.
Jerry's role in Steel Fading has proven to be a major step towards his goal of
rocking the world with his melodic progressions and his hard rock riffs.

Bio:
At the age of 12, Geoffrey learned to play his first musical instrument, the
drums. He played at church from time to time until he reached high school.
In high school, he became busy with athletics and neglected the music, all
the while, knowing something was missing inside. In June of 2001, with
graduation money in hand, Geoffrey entered the city pawn shop and bought
his first guitar (Austin, strat-knockoff). Anxious to satisfy his inner rock, he
refused formal training and began to teach himself power chords, basic
chord theory, and how to read tabs. Within a few months, Geoffrey had
progressed and even written his first song. There was no looking back from
there. In the years following, he learned scales and music theory and
recognized the patterns that made rock music. In the basement of his house,
with the cd player booming, he played along and improvised to some of the
best rock the 80's and early 90's had to offer (in his opinion).
In October of 2005, Geoffrey began looking for a band that had similar
interests and goals as he did. Trey, who he had previously met, told him
about his band Steel Fading. Jerry had joined the band a couple months
earlier and they were searching for their sound. Geoffrey agreed to bring his
gear up to Dadeville and jam with the band. The fit was perfect. The mix
between the band's alternative sound and his 80's-style leads created a
unique mesh of rock.
Full Name: Joseph Robert Taunton
Age: 19
Hometown: Dadeville, AL
Favorite Music: Alternative, Southern, and Metal
Influence: Shinedown, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Nirvana
Gear: Washburn Bass, Behringer Ultra-Bass Amp
Bio:
Joe got his first guitar on his 16th birthday. After years of listening to his
dad playing around on his guitar, he was eager to learn. With his dad’s
help, he learned the first basic chords. After a short time, Joe sought guitar
instructors for more basic training. While still beginning to learn to play the
guitar, Joe joined up with Trey and Jordan in late 2004 and started the band
Steel Fading. Joe was the original rhythm guitar player. When Jerry came
along, he then decided to lay down the six string and pick up the four string
bass. Once he picked it up, he never looked back. Never having any lessons
in playing bass, and with the help of his fellow band members, Joe begin to
progress as a bass player. Joe soon realized that the band meant more to
him than just a casual hobby, it was something that he truly loved.
Bio:
Raised in the small town of Dadeville, AL, Trey Foshee has been a
huge fan of music all his life. Although he was 17 before he picked up
a guitar, his motivation to learn music has brought him to be the
frontman of this alternative/metal band. In late 2004, Trey and Jordan
teamed up in a local talent show, and decided to start a band. At age
18, Trey wrote his first song. He soon realized that his heart was,
without a doubt, in music. Although influenced by bands such as
Shinedown, Pearl Jam, and Metallica, his lyrics and motivation are
held in place by the grace of our Lord and Savior above. Trey's vocal
style and attitude reveal an unconditional love for music. With no
formal lessons or training, he is led by his heart to help keep the
dying genre of rock and roll alive...
